We organise small group street photography workshops and adventures aimed at anyone with a passion for photography! Whether you are an absolute beginner, more advanced, or a professional photographer in any field - let us show you and your camera our favourite cities; you'll save yourself hours of research time, learn loads, get to meet some really cool people, and spend the whole day making pictures. We also do online stuff, private groups and 1-1 sessions.
The Photo Weekender is created and operated by Polly Rusyn (yes it’s me writing in the third person - hello there!). Polly is a pro photographer, ex adventure travel tour leader, and former travel industry commercial product manager with heaps of experience (for multiple award winning tour operators). The Photo Weekender is the love child of her passions for photography and travel. Polly is an Official Fujifilm X-Photographer and a National Geographic Traveller Masterclass speaker. Her work has been exhibited internationally, and published both online and in print magazines. Her love of cheese is well documented, and she is known to laugh at her own jokes without shame. All photos on this website (other than in participant galleries and slideshows) have been made by Polly.
Note from Weekender HQ: Group sizes are temporarily capped at 7 (5 in London) until we know the situation with the pandemic
BOOKINGS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR THIS WEEKENDER UNTIL WE KNOW MORE ABOUT THE SITUATION
I can't thank you, Polly, and the rest of the gang enough for the great escape, I enjoyed every minute of it. Rome was great, the light, the feel and the atmosphere of that city is unbeatable. But what made it even more special was people and photography. I've not laughed so much in ages. Photography wise, all the challenges were right up my street and the explanation Polly gave together with technical help and examples made the job of trying to get a decent shot easier. The set up with each challenge building on the last to the "ultimate" goal was really great, I've learned to much even if it might take years for all to sink in. KAT S.
